Found this while roll searching today. Would it be considered an error or is it within tolerance? (still haven't found any silver, buffalos, liberty's, etc). Thanks!

its cut off a little bit so I guess it could be an off center

I would certainly call that "off-center". Not sure of the percentage...2.5%?

I'd keep it. Nice nickel.

Looks worth hanging on to but would not get a large premium.

If the reverse is centered, it is most likely an uncentered broadstrike. If the reverse is off center like the obverse, then it's as stated, about 2.5% OC. Nice find.

The reverse is centered, however, it is rotated (less than 90 degrees).

if the diameter is the same size as a normal nickel its not an uncentered broadstrike, it could possibly be a misaligned die

It's a misaligned die error. If the reverse is significantly rotated, as you seem indicate, then it's a nice combination of a misaligned die error and rotated die error.

Yea, misaligned dies are rediculously common in Jefferson nickels they pop up all the time roll searching. -XoG
