I know, I know, everyone wants to know when the Business Strike Denver Minted Nickels and Dimes are going to show up.
Not having access to coin shows I was wondering if anyone has seen any?
Do the experts think they will be released from the Fed one day?
Anyone's opinions, speculations, comments, are greatly appreciated!

I found a 2009 dime (don't remember the mint, probably Denver, since I'm in Texas) in the cash register about a month ago, so they must be circulating.

Haven't seen any! Here is a thought:
With the Feds still sitting on a vast amount of the 2009 nickel and dime output, how many 2010 nickels and dimes of either Mint are going to be produced?

Quote: I found a 2009 dime (don't remember the mint, probably Denver, since I'm in Texas) I live in Texas also and haven't seen any D's I found about a roll of P's though. So if we are getting P's in Texas I doubt the D's are gonna pop up north anytime soon.

Texas and Puerto Rico are the only 2 places I've heard the dimes are in circulation. Nickels only in PR.

The mint made them, the Fed has not ordered many. They will get released. They have a rule called FIFO. First In First Out.
The mint has a minimum that they have to mint, so they will make the 2010's. I just don't know what the minimum is.
The nickels are also in Miami.

When I get a BU Nickel or Dime in my change here in Denver, they're still 2008-D's! (and it's now February 2010! )

I just found a 2009-P dime while going through a box of dimes. I am a little over halfway through the box right now. I'll let everyone know if I find anymore. I live in the Chicago area.

For all the show goers, please pick me up a nice Denver dime and nickel if you find them. I'm afraid that when they do show up on ebay they will be so ridiculously priced. Not to say they wont be ridiculously priced at the shows too for that matter but at this point I wouldn't mind over paying for the first one and make it up later on a roll of them down the line.

Thank you! It's strange how nervous I am that none can be found anywhere. Has this ever happened in the past?

Wow, none to be had at the show There were several modern coin dealers who had boxes of 2009 Lincolns and Territory quarters and they said the nickels and dimes 2009 are almost impossible to get and they would have loved to have had some because alot of people were asking about them.
