I really hate to say this, but I highly doubt that anyone will be able to say anything intelligent about this coin from the pictures supplied. I can't tell if it is an 8TF or if I see a mint mark. If you could zoom in with the photos, it would be a big help.

Pics not large enough but it looks like a long nock, the olive branch may have the clash(lack of the proper term) under the berry and the legs appear thick(may have a doubled leg variety). I believe this is the type B reverse, the A in AMERICA appears to be touching the wing. nlp

I'm thinking VAM 33, the legs and talons are doubled, also I think thats its a weak 7/4 tail feather also I think you have the clashing to make it VAM #33A

No clashing so it's a VAM 33 7/8TF (Weak). The keys to the VAM 33 are: Reverse - a long nock (green circle), 4TF's showing (blue circles), and a blob underneath the olive branch (red circle). Keys on the Obverse are a blob of metal on the first 8 (red arrow) and two tiny notches on the first and second stars to the right of the date (blue arrows).

I don't even have to take cheat sheets to shows anymore. Maybe I should just add a "MorganNut" tag-line at the bottom.

I think if there are close ups on the chin and lips the clashing will be better seen, I enhanced his pic, and they are evident, I belive they will be strong enough to make the 33a,,,

I thought it was a 33 but from the first pictures the part on the bottom of the arrow shaft looked straight instead of rounded like the 33 does but in the other set yep its a 33

Nut, Bryan, Aladin, Dave, you guys are absolutely incredible. I think that if someone really needs help with attribution, THIS is the place to come. A lot of these types of questions would get overlooked or unanswered elsewhere. I am very proud of all of you.

Quote: 33A, the wreath clashes on the lips, confirm it alladinslamp, That's very minor clashing and won't earn a separate of 33A designation. Here are the pics from VAMWorld of the clashing on the 33A. This example doesn't even come close. Leroy has chosen to limit separate classifications to those that have a letter transfer. In this case the 'N' on the neck clash.
