OK I got this in a buy. Never really looked at it and I am showing my true colors here. Looks like I can make out 1915. Am I seeing this right? Also Are these Chop marks that look like cross hairs through a scope? Kind of curious. Thanks all.

Sorry but they look like staple scratches to me and it does look to be a 15 but it's hard to see.

it is hard to see, EVEN when your picture is about 100 times larger than life size!!...must be hard at normal scale,,,but I do think I see the 1915....

Have you tried soaking it in white vinegar for a couple days?

It is a 1915. The date has been chemically restored. Does it have a mint mark on the back? The scratches look like they were deliberately inflicted on the coin as they look like an almost perfect "X". It's still worth something if you're lucky enough to find an S mint mark on the back.

I agree this is 1915 restored, and it is scratches on the OBV. Check the reverse carefully for mint mark, or possibly, the rim will be too worn to see the mint mark.
