what does anyone know about this series? Haven't found much in the way of what they're worth..my brother in law owns the entire set (yesteryear, vanishing & presidents) and I'm looking to buy all of his coins..I don't want to rip him off and also don't want to over pay.

found this:

They are simply set put together based on the coin issues of the day. You can easily put one together by getting a G-VG of each and a plastic holder. They are rarely done with nicer coins and usually not considered a value.

I agree. I took a complete set apart similar to that and just saved the best examples, which were very few, and released the rest to the wild in exchange for rolls.Even the plastic cases were cheap.

Be cautious of valuing them because I have seen many polsihed/cleaned coins in these mass-marketed sets. Many noncollectors think a shiny coin is a pretty coin but it is damaged to a collector and basically worth its silver value only.
