I picked this up on ebay - I'd like to get some opinions on grade. Me - I think VF to XF, but I'm VERY new to this. I do think I got it at a good price, so I'm happy with it. These pics are from the auction - it hasn't arrived yet.

I'd call it a VF20. LIBERTY is too weak to give it an XF in my opinion.
But this appears to be a very attractive, original coin.

I do agree on the LIBERTY - I'm hoping its just a bad photo (lighting). I paid well below VF20 though.....it should be here Saturday.

Reverse is better condition than the obverse, I would give this an overall grade of F-12. It might slide to F-15 because of the reverse.

F-15 maybe VF20. It is not an XF coin thats for sure. Nice Seated quarter though.

I'm gonna say F-15 because of the worn rim.

I'd call it VF-20. There is a noticeable scratch by star #12 but otherwise it looks problem-free. It's much nicer than most of the Stars and Rays quarters you see offered for sale.

Thanks for all of the replies - F to VF would work, as I paid below book F price, and below what some that didn't appear to be in as good of condition went for. I was actually surprised to win the auction.

It is my first Seated Liberty quarter.........I love the rays and arrows design.

The coin arrived - the pics originally posted are pretty accurate. Liberty is full, but the L is a little weak. I'm pretty happy with it, I paid $22 plus s/h, so when (if) I do ever send it in to ANACS, if it comes back F to VF12 or 15, I'd be very happy.

Thanks for all of the opinions, input. I learn alot from you guys.
