Well, I never thought this would happen to me. First of all, I never thought I would have any interest in roll searching Quarters, but after deciding that I'd like to get some decent conditioned "P" Territory Qtrs. before they're too crappy looking to keep. And I thought there'd be a VERY tiny chance that I might actually find some silver.....or even some old Canadian coinage.....or other foreign coinage .....whatever. So, this $500.00 box of qtrs. came in today and I picked them up (along with five boxes of Cents).....and I bring them all the way home..so excited to begin my endeavor. I sit down at my "coin station" desk and open up the box..... EVERY SINGLE ROLL IS A DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA "D" MINT ! Now, I know that this is the Capital of our Nation......I am aware that some have said that each Territory Qtr. are very low mintages compared to the State Qtrs......I realize that I have a whole box of BU DC. qtrs ....... But I DON'T NEED OR WANT THESE ! I may keep a roll or two just for the heck of it.......but I need "P" mints for my folder.... I don't ebay.....so......I guess I just take them all back to the bank tomarrow ! Right ? Suggestions ? .... I'm soooooo disappointed.....I was really looking forward to doing some serious qtr. roll searching this weekend ! ......sigh....

Eaglefoot, I have the P mint territories from a mint set, they are the satins, but if you want them. I will let you have them at face value plus actual shipping cost?

Major bummer eagle.500 bucks of quarters is a bunch. You could possibly sell off a few rolls here on the forum or maybe find someone to trade rolls with. Other than that you have tomorrow to get back to the bank and possibly trade off with some of their rolls from circulation.

Glad it's not just me...I've received 2 boxes of 2008-D BU nickels over the last couple months. I put the 2nd box on the BST board and sold about half a box there with a little margin per roll. Probably doesn't hurt to offer them.

Another idea....you could cherry-pick some ultra high grade coins. That's always fun!

I'd also be interested in taking two of those rolls off of your hands - one of them to keep, one to break open. LMK.

My ebay listing would read as follows.... Two rolls of the 2009 D Washington DC in brilliant uncirculated condition. These rolls have the potential to include the increadably fabulous doubling of the ELL in Duke Ellington's name. This error coin shows great promise as being the next highly collectible doubled die error and you might find some! Additionally there are other smaller errors in this particular series as well. My coins are still wrapped in their original wrapping and have not been searched for this or any other error so there is a potential goldmine here! Fixed price is $28.95 for the two rolls plus $4.50 insured shipping. I would not even include photos.... Sincerely, John Leckrone

Quote: Gawd0wns..... Don't be discouraged eaglefoot... You still have 5 boxes of cents to go through! And I started on those last night already ! .... 925dealer .... I can appreciate those of us who diligently ebay coins to put some extra money in their pockets. But, I've never done one single transaction on ebay whether buying or selling, and it isn't something that I really want to get into. I'm going to offer, at face value, these to those who've already asked.....and then now do as Bio suggested and look for the errors, and then just take them back to the bank. It'll make a nice weekend project for me ! P.S.Brought my mag glass and a couple rolls of these to the cafe this morning. (Samantha and I eat breakfast there every Friday before I take her to pre-school) Didn't find any errors yet....but MAN ! These are in incredibly good condition !..REALLY nice !...almost PROOF-LIKE !)....certainly plenty of high MS grades I would think...but I can't keep em' ALL ! LoL !)
