so I've been buying from ebay for a long time and to my knowledge have never received a fake. But I've not really spent $30 on a coin until I did on this 1969 Biafra 1 schilling.

The reason I am asking is when you flip the coin the alignment of the reverse is not exact. It is a coin alignment but it is off by a few degrees. This seems like it could be normal but I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts. The pictures on the ebay listing can be found by looking up item #280463234167. Obvioulsy you cannot see both sides at the same time but this is the coin I received.

Link to ebay item.

First off, a minor correction; Biafra was an ex-British colony, so "shilling" has the British spelling. "Schilling" is the German spelling.

I would think "a few degrees off" from perfection is well within tolerances - especially given that Biafra was conducting a civil war at the time and couldn't afford to be too fussy about quality control. I wouldn't worry about it.

thank you Sap. I was hoping there wasn't a well know forgery for this coin!! I'm not a big spended and this was a lot for me for a single coin. And of course, thanks for the correction on my spelling of the shilling.
