The price for the pick is very reasonable. And if you consider the time that the artist put in to make that Skeletor hobo, it's not an outrageous price. It's not my kind of thing, but there is probably someone out there (jbuck) who is salivating over it.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Quote: what? BALD? I used to keep my hair high and tight until the top thinned out too much, now it is just "tight." I trim my head weekly with the smallest guard, so my silhouette is bald.

I still don't understand why the USA decided to strike 40% silver Ike dollars (San Francisco) instead of 90% silver. If I compare this to say The Netherlands where they struck 4.5 million 1973 Rijksdaalders (72% silver, same size as an Ike) for circulation, then it is really strange the USA couldn't do something similar.

@ NumisEd. Right now I'm collecting silver Ikes only. I would love it if they were 90% instead of 40%. The same goes for the silver Kennedys.

Quote: I still don't understand why the USA decided to strike 40% silver Ike dollars (San Francisco) instead of 90% silver. They were already using the 40% formula for the 1965-1970 Kennedy half dollars. Perhaps they had unused 40% coils in stock they could use? I believe the brown and blue Ikes would have been too expensive as 90% coins; even fewer would have been sold.
