Thanks for pointing out my error.
In one of my posts I wrongly identified the Ike which has the re-entry vehicle. In this post CaptainFwiffo pointed out the correct Eisenhower dollar, the 1971 D Friendly Eagle Variety. One local Ike collector got quite a few Ikes at a small town bank in our area. He found a good FEV in the bunch as well as a couple of other varieties. I'm looking forward to getting my own FEV. Thanks Captain, - Jim

Found this 1971-P DDR searching through some Ikes from the bank last night: I started a thread to discuss it. It looks close to DDR-002, but it's not quite a match. Anybody know this one?

CaptainFwiffo Just saw the post in the other category, I can definitely tell when it is a Doubled Die, But as far as to be able to tell which one, I still am definitely one of the rookies of the group. Chuckster if you see this can you possibly give a hand identifying this 1971 P DDR ? Thanks Terry

Here is a Type II Clad Proof, IKE just doesn't look right, probably has to do with the surface finish; The spot below the bell, above the "E" and "D" of one dollar concerns me...I don't recall seeing beforehand...may be an image anomaly? Or a Blue Dwarf star?

Wow I have never seen a 76 Proof with dies that polished both obverse and reverse. A lot of the frost fading on IGWT on the Obverse and The reverse actually the upper left serif "D" and of the second "L" of Dollar completely missing and part of the "O" of one Very Cool

Rescued this Ike from a teller tray today. Looks even better in hand than in these pics. The bonus was the next teller over had a 63' Rosie in her tray.

I love seeing a rescued proof, but seeing a rescued Eisenhower dollar proof is beyond awesome. Quote: The bonus was the next teller over had a 63' Rosie in her tray. You are one a roll. I hope you revisit that location.

I just bought 4x 1971 Blue IKE (with COA and packaging) + 1x 1972 Brown IKE + 1x $1974 Brown IKE (the Brown IKE didn't have the box or COA)...... now I have to figure out what to do with the extra 3x 1971 Blue IKE that I don't need for my Album set.....
I'll post pictures tomorrow if I have time.
