I got this one from my mother, she passed away and I found this one, several other Ikes, and several Kennedys.

The more I look at this one the more I like the toning...

So I'm not too big on Ike's (Sorry Jbuck). I always thought he the profile on the coin looked a too much like John Malkovich.
But since we are on the 77th page, I figured I'd post my 77 Ike that I carry around for good luck. (My birth year).

PWinDavis

Our Condolences on the passing of your Mother.

I also like it when the Ike's get toned up
seems to give them more character to me.

LTMets44,

I agree with you Ike's make great pocket pieces.

I will let you slide this time and only dock you 20 points in the current GTP season.

Just kidding, nice dollar!

I was in the mood to photograph an Ike today that I have not had time
to shoot yet. Man I have missed playing with them.
I had to shoot the obverse at a steep angle to get the color of the
coin to match what it looks like in hand. Still could not get the
light magenta and neon green that is along the left edge of the coin to come out
Ahh the learning curve of coin photography, Still fun though

Did I say I didn't like Ike's? I meant I LOVE them.

That's a great '71. And I agree, character is the word I thought of to describe mine. It's a great pocket piece to. I do love holding it...

Wow,
I edited and uploaded the 1971 P with the new laptop
Boy does it look different here on the tower with
the bigger monitor. The reverse in hand looks nothing
like that nasty greenish color I see on this monitor.

Does anyone else see that?

Might have to continue doing the coin photography on the tower.

Maybe a greenish gold, but more gold than green. I like him.

I visited my local coin shop today, I saw 2 73 ikes (a 73p and a 73d), the guy running the shop offered 5 bucks each, and faster than you can say jbuck is freakishly obsessed with Eisenhower dollars, I was walking out of the coin shop with some wonderful coins in my pocket.
