I think lafaa123 was just joking Bryan. Anyway, it's a clear squeeze job, a clash wouldn't penetrate like that. Poor little coin.

Ok I was thinking maybe this could be a learning experience if he saw something that wasn't actually doubling and could point it out maybe someone could actually tell him what caused it instead of it being doubling because I definitely didn't see any myself nor did I see anything that could be considered doubling

One thing that has me puzzled, if this is a smash job, how come the smashed image is NOT in reverse? If the same side of 2 coins are smashed together, one image should be reversed. The 'smasher' would have needed to have reverse images of both sides to start with, not impossible I guess, so would it be a double sided double 'smash' job?

I hope some of you experts understand my question.
life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved

Totally a "vandalized coin", the word America, is in reverse to the left of Liberty, the marks seen on the neck of George is the base of the eagles legs and that surrounding area, good eye Bio, keep up the good work, Mike...

I don't get the impression that the original poster agrees that this coin is damaged, Mike gave it every possible name. In this case, 3 coins were stacked together and the were hit with a hammer.

Thanks,
Bill
