I'm looking at a Bounty Hunter Lone Star Metal detector as an entry level detector. Does anyone have one of these? If so could you point out its good and bad points?
Thanks.

Hi TLS5933

Sorry I know nothing about the BH Machines,, Before you purchase I would take a look at the Garretts Ace 250,, I have heard some very good things about this machine as an entry level machine.

Whites also make an entry level machine who's name escapes me for the moment,,for the same money as the garrett's,, about 250.00

Rick,
Thanks, I have looked at the Garrett Ace 250 and it does look like a good unit. I'm checking out all the units in this price range before I make a choice. I was just wondering if anyone had info on the Bounty Hunter.

I heard that the Traker four is a unexspensive detector. But still works well.
