I've been wanting to have a metal detector for a long time now, but they are just too darn expensive for me. I was wondering if anyone has a working one they no longer use that they might want to sell. I REALLY REALLY want to get one!!

I've checked out the metal detector thread on this forum and they are TOO EXPENSIVE for me.

Hi thingee,

You probably already know this, but there is a metal detecting forum at:

http://gometaldetecting.com/

I think if ever there were a place to find what you're loking for, this is it.

I had a cheap metal detector as a kid, and had a blast with it! I did find a few coins, but nothing valuable. Found a lot of nails, though.

You might want to check some local pawn shops also. Once in while you can find a detector there for a decent price.

Hi Thingee

Have you checked at Wal-mart,, they sell a couple of different levels of entry level detectors there that will get the job done.

I believe that they are Bounty Hunters and range from less than 100.00 to just under 200.00.
