US Mint Selling Gold/Silver Eagles From Website?

XavierOfGreen Pillar of the Community United States 2589 Posts	Posted 02/25/2010 11:43 pm i think the demand for silver will stay high possibly prevent silver eagle proofs from being made, however I think demand for gold will be stagnant for a good part of the year allowing proof gold eagles to be made. Just my raw instinct no scientific basis behind my assumptions. Report this Post to the Staff
COINAHOLIC Rest in Peace United States 1501 Posts	Posted 02/26/2010 4:01 pm The Bullion Silver Eagles are already for sale and available... you have to be a approved bullion dealer to purchase them from the mint. But these dealers would be glad to hook you up. The ones that may or may not be available are the uncirculated/burnished SAE and the proof SAE. Report this Post to the Staff

Maybe a 1oz gold eagle proof but I'd be surprised if the mint produced any silver for sale on their website. All of the effort is into the bullion products. The recession will last for another couple years and then several years to recover. This will most likely be the end of both silver and gold uncirculated programs. Report this Post to the Staff
