I have a small part of my grandfathers Penny collection, and he has written some notes on a sheet of paper which I don't understand. He has listed some of the tubes of coins like this:

1958D U.C A.JJ
1958D U.C A.JJ
1958D UC AJJ
1955S U.C
1955S U.C BJJJ
1955S U.C BJJJ

I don't know if there are his own style of notations or if these markings make sense to anyone. If you recognize what "AJJ" or "BJJJ" might mean please help!

Thanks!

Those notations have no meaning to anyone besides your grandfather, they would have been part of his own inventory or value listing.

They could also be the price he paid coded in his own way so that he knew what it was in case of possible resale or insurance reasons?

It has to be prices. A=1, B=2 ... J=0. Now you just need to figure out what the prices mean.
