thanks bernie, since those halves give me no luck I'm going to do bulk dime boxes (way easier to bring back to dump ha )

3 more dime boxes - 2 silver proofs! 2002 and 2004 and 3 1946's
only my 2nd and 3rd silver proofs ever and the funny thing is they werent even in the same box!

I am torn between boxes of rolled dimes and bags of them from the counter. The rolls make it easier to handle the dimes rather than just grabbing a handful... but the bag creates less waste, you dont have to mess with opening the rolls and I think your chances of finding something good are better. No real reason to think this way.. but thats what my first thought is. I will have to keep track of my average on boxes VS bags. I also feel better about asking for bags since they arent paying to get them and giving them to me for free.

Small branch in the grocery was completely out of any denomination of rolled coins except one roll of dimes. '58-D for my effort. I'm good with that.

I got a nice surprise when I opened a fresh box of dimes. Hopefully the rest of the box is just as good!

Amazing! I am similarly curious - how did the rest turn out? And PM me if you are up for a trade (perhaps sale)! I love me a silver dime. Merc or otherwise!
