I opened 3 boxes of dimes yesterday. All skunks. While running errands I got a 1946-S Roosevelt in change. I'll take it.

Hello all, New to CRH but thought I would try my hand at dimes... I have done 1/2's and nickels, cents... but dimes are not for me.
1 box skunked. Plastic rolls make it too easy to see the silver. I break them open and throw the dimes into the hopper at my UMB dump so they can live on as paper rolled dimes.

storm coins are basically coins that were flooded from hurricane sandy or any other natural disaster it basically turns the coins all white with hardened sand sort of like if you found them in the ground after many yrs ( here in the northeast I've seen many a coin looking like this)

The key to finding dime keepers - volume searching.

Volume is the only way to go. Take the skunks in order to get the good hits

Definitely not doing dimes, at least for the moment. I don't have enough money to search efficiently. I can only do $35 every few days; every day if I'm not busy.

Youngen, any amount is fine. When I first started I took only one roll and one time found 13 silver in it. Though I didn't realize at the time how lucky that was. Many skunks on boxes later I do.

Goldpanner, at least you didn't have to search the same two boxes again.
