Back to work today after a 2 week vacation. I went through a $250 box of dimes and found a '64-D.

I walked in my part time job today to cash in my check. While walking to the register I saw a dime on the floor, of course I picked it up and it was a '64. I couldn't believe my luck, I thought to myself it's going to be a great day.

It wasn't.

But I'll take free silver any day

Silver 1965 Roosevelt last nite! I thought it might be plated, but a portion of the rim has been shaved down, and I see no copper...definitely a '65.

Anyhoo, $500 in S/s boxes gave up only one silver rosie.
$600 worth of cwr gave away another silver roosie.
Not great, but beats a poke in the eye.

lost 40 cents on the dump because of the coin counter. Dimes as pennies, eating away at the value of the find

You know, you don't have to let them get away with that...

It is possible that mr9865 does not want to call unnecessary attention to the activity. Just one complaint and the bank could decide that keeping the machine is more trouble than it is worth.
