250 coins searched yesterday, did not pull anything.

9 rolls today, and as usual, nothing. Through 1,100 coins in 2018, I have managed to pull a single 2009-D and nothing else.
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

That single 2009-D you found this year is one more than how many I have found since, well, 2009.  Yes, I cheated to fill my 2009-D dime hole.  I usually do not buy mint sets since I prefer to fill my holes from circulation, but I did get the 2009 mint set because of the 95% copper cents. Those D coins made it into into my Dansco albums (the P coins were all found in change, as usual). I normally get family in California to sent me change and that is how I typically fill the D holes. In all that time I have only managed to find some 2009-D cents and nickels. No dimes. No quarters. Again, the mint set saved me.  |

I've done two boxes this year. Found a total of three silvers (63, 63D, and a beat up 64) and one Merc 36 D. I also found a 1980S, but only one 2009. It's odd that I'm finding more silver than 2009s. I'm sure that will change. The last box had an international flavor to it too... I pulled a Canadian dime, a Euro 1 cent piece, and a penny from the Bahamas.  |

The 2009 dimes are hard to find... and, unlike silver, there don't seem to be any hoards of them sitting around. One of my teller friends got a roll of silver dimes last year from a customer. I've got the 2009 mint sets as well as back in early 2016 when I got back into CRH (and began with all denominations), ALL of the Philadelphia coins except Halves were giving me problems to find in circulation. The copper cents being in those mint sets reminds me that I need to search my bin of 2009-D cents at some point, as I have heard of at least one person here finding one of the 2009 coppers in circulation.
