Oh, how I wish that would be true!

I love the Lincoln Cent, but I think it should be made for collectors only at this point (if at all). If it went that far, then they should make them 95% copper like they were for the 2009 mint and proof sets.

If that were true.... (and I'm not saying it isn't), then that news would be traveling all across the Coin World like a prarie fire.
And the values of Wheats and Memorials would start rising too !
Only 3 total years of the new Shield Cents ? ... .... (and then continue to mint them for "collectors only" as JB said !)

The "HSN" guy also said that they aren't going to mint any more Satin Finish coins too........it remains to be seen if this comes to fruition or was just another marked up disgustingly high premium scheme to sell more product. Most doubt his claims.....but he could be right on "both" of these accounts.......we just wait and see.
(but don't buy what he's selling either way !)

Just add that one to the pile of bovine excrement they shovel on a daily basis, no current truth to it at all. A couple weeks ago, they were stating "as fact" that the US Mint was not going to be producing Mint Sets in the satin finish after 2009 and that has already been debunked. The truth is a moving target for them depending on what they are selling that evening

LOL @ HSN. I do watch to see what kind of crazy stuff they are selling sometimes, but their "facts" are certainly not fact based.

You mean $140.00 in "NOT" a good deal for a P & D BU 50 State Qtr. Set ? .... ........or "common date" Morgans (date & mintmark their choice) for $80.00 ?.... ..... or $4,000.00 Gold Eagles ?.......

As a relative newbie to this hobby I found myself watching this "show" to try and learn a few things. I have to admit, I have learned some things from them. Mostly, what not to do and how NOT to buy coins. So, I thank them for this valuable insight.

I wish I could sell them coins for 1/2 price of what they offer them at. I could quit working.
