I've been carrying this on my key chain for at least 15 years, though I suspect it is closer to 20. It finally "died". Donations to the owner will be taken in lieu of flowers.

I knew this day was coming, it was definitely not a "sudden death", she's been withering away for the last few years. Is it too early to start "dating" again?

I'm sorry for your loss.

I was looking at your thread when my wife told me "I have one of those from my Grand Dad. He carried around every day when he was alive." She went and got it and here it are pictures. I was absolutely blown away! I don't remember her ever telling me about this. She was very proud she could be part of my coin collecting obsession and hopefully this will help ease your pain too! (I think some solder for your token would be a great idea!)

Resurrection may consist of drilling a new hole in the bottom between the words Good & Luck
right where that dot is

Lots of other options available as well

A pop rivet in the same location as the original hole might work well too.

1.Solder the entire thing to a sheet of metal.
2.refill the hole with an Arc Welder's torch of about 7,000 degrees and then redrill that hole if you can find the entire thing
3.Drill new hole above Lincoln's head.
4.As already suggested, drill new hole on the bottom
5.Glue the entire thing to the inside of your wallet
6.Epoxy Glue it to the handle of a .357 Magnum and carry that instead.
7.Drill lots of little holes and thread through them and then to the inside of your pocket
8.HAPPY ST.PATRICK'S DAY

Hey, I had one of those about a hundred years ago when I was a kid! Completely forgot about the penny-in-the-horseshoe lucky charms until I saw this. Sorry to hear of it's demise, but it should be able to come back to life with a repair job.
Rest in Peace
