I recently bought a few VAMs from trbcoins at ebay.

When I got back from Iraq I made a quick pass through some 300 coins I had bought while I was gone. A few of his looked whizzed, but I didn't have time to run them to a dealer. Now I am back in Iraq for a few more months.

The thing that is worrying me now is that some of his coins go "Buy It Now" at or below what Heritage shows as wholesale.

Has anyone bought several from these guys and not received a coin as it was stated?

Thanks,

Seth

I Have bought 2 Morgan VAM's from him. I was very satisfied. The 2 I bought were listed as BU and thats what they were. As far as his AU's or lower grade I couldn't say,but mine had not been cleaned.
Also,Welcome to the CC Forum and hope you back home soon,to stay.

To expand on my reply to your question in another forum: I believe the seller is buying bulk and cherrypicking VAMs. I can't swear by the attributions, but the one coin I purchased as a raw MS65 was at least a strong 64, and well worth the price paid.

Thanks for the info and update.

I found them to be pretty reasonable on OBO's too. Some coins I have been able to get at just above (or at) Heritage wholesale, even as a VAM.

I guess that is what worried me.

The one they were WAY high on was an 1878 VAM9 and wouldn't budge. Said their supplier had stabbed them on it. Oh, well.

I have bought about 15 from them already. We'll see in Sept.....

Thanks again.

Seth
