Hello,
Thanks to everyone who helped me with my
HUGE inventory snafu quite a while back. I got all the
"lost" prices, they are not
"exact" but close enough.
I called my insurance agent who told me that because my collection is so small at the moment it is cheap to add to my home owner's insurance and they need an inventory which includes a description of each coin, the date (month and year are good enough) and place of purchase (e.g. Name of Coin Show or Coin Store,) the price paid for each coin and a photo of each coin. I have all that stuff so that works out well.
Also, when I go to coin shows or my local coin shop I'm writing things in a notebook and once things are in my inventory all is well. I'm
finally caught up on my
Coin World and Coin Values magazine reading after almost 6 months so that is good.
Doing the inventory for my insurance agent has been tedious only because I haven't been keeping up with it which means I'm not spending the time I want on my hobby.....does anyone? I'm a data junkie though that is now confirmed. I'm not making money on my collection based on the numbers I have put together (who cares!) but I'm not losing much either and I'm having a blast.
Thanks,
Rich
