I picked up a bag of 150 ikes today at the bank.
Mostly Unc's. They are plentiful around here and never
really looked closely at them before. I found one decent Unc.
72-P type 2 with march obv. It has bag marks etc. but ?
I know that one has a slight premium, but are the 72-P type 3
and or the 76 type 1 worth the bother ?
Thanks

All Eisenhower dollars are worth the bother!

But I admit, I am biased.

The 1972-P Type 2 is definitely a nice find!
Rest in Peace

Indian, where do you live? I've gotten only 15 Ikes in 5 years from my local banks (south FL). Must be nice to get 150 at one time. Hope you make lots of finds.

I bought $200 at face from my bank earlier last year. Ended up spending them at face in the months that followed. Then went to a show and one dealer there told me he will buy all Ike's a $1.50 each.

I try and get my hands on every Ike I see. The only way I would spend my Ike's is if I had to feed my kids.

I live in No. Massachusetts.
Never really got into them until I started checking out
a few varieties. I just figured they were abundant all over.
I used to just pick through them for silver. Have 3 nice BU 72-S's
Was looking for halfs and dimes today and the teller offered me these. I was not even going to bother with them I as used to just pick them up and then sell them a few at a time at my local flea market seasonal table for $1.25. A lot of kids today never even saw one before so they get a kick out of them.
NRC ? (73/73-D)
Any info on the other questions I raised ?
Just wanted to know what to look for.

I think they're worth it. I wish that they were as plentiful around here (northern California). Here are some links to older discussion on Ike varieties. I hope they're useful.

Thanks for the info. Worth looking for. I also did find one 72-P
Type 3
May of dumped a few keys/semis over the years though. Oh well !
Thought I had 150 today but it was 146 ea.
Anyone want the other 144 ea. before I dump them at the bank ?
Will keep two for now. Maybe sell later.
