are these the characteristics of a 1960 d small date? I see a ,what looks like, squared ends on the inner loop of the 9, plus curved lines on the outer left of the 9 like there's another 9 coming in there. Is this normal?

Definitely a small date. I have a few of those the with the hooks on them and apparently they are very common. You can see one on the inner loop of the 6 as well. I am told that there was a change in the master hub. I guess that means the hook is on the master. I really haven't had much clarity beyond that.

Wait for the pros to chime in on it though. I'm not an RPM specialist either, but it looks like a possibility as there are tons associated with this date/mm.

Check the markers for 1960D-1MM-107 - it looks like it could be a close match. Hard to tell without seeing more of the coin.
