If you know the grade, don't reveal it...I'll do that later (thanks!). This is one of my "drought relief" purchases where I finally made a slew of recent purchases after about a 2 year hiatus. UPDATE: Okay you guys were pretty much right on with the PCGS grade. It is in an XF45 holder. I admit that had some misgivings about a couple of those hits as I normally steer clear of any coins that have hits like that (the worst for me is the one above the eagle's wing). However, I have been searching for over 2 years now for a decent With Motto Seated dollar (preferably raw) when I came across this one. Many times these coins have rim dings, scratches, and miscellaneous hits that really kill the coin's eye appeal. I didn't feel that was the case with this one. The coin truly shows very little wear and even some luster appears to remain around the devices, especially on the reverse. Chance are the coin was dipped a long time ago and has since retoned. Someone else who saw this thread noted that the coin was minted with "misaligned dies" which could create the soft obverse strike and strong reverse strike (as the reverse would have been the "anvil die"). Note how poorly the stars are struck on the obverse and the broadened rim with a raised "lip" on one half of the coin. I also got a killer deal on the coin. What more can I say? It's a keeper.
