Just so you know; I've been away from my coins and collecting since October 2007 because it took us that long to pack, move, sell, rent, then buy. Hence, I'm out of practice and need to re-imbue my brain with munny, despite that I've been collecting since about 1963.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.

j_h_s, I just read your post, and looking at the name of the topic, I am lost. You must have made mention of this possibility, con=mbination, for a new cwnt, and it caught my eye. Care to elaborate? it could happen, you know. I am very un-impressed with the 2010 reverse, as a "new" reverse. If that is the best theyt can come up with, I'll tie a ribbon on my lincolns, and go roe some other, with something to offer. not being sarcastic, just disgusted. Dick

I think he's just telling us he needs to "brush up" and get back into the swing of things.

I thinK it would take more than, "just a "brushing up", and get back into the "swing of things". Now about the new reverse. I don't care for it, but there are many who have expressed their pleasure with it. So be it. that is their right, and I respect it. Going back to '82, when the mint brought out their latest "offering", they gave us a cent with the same profile, and reverse, and mixed up the composition, and devices so that there were seven different "varieties, " if you will. IMHO, they wasted a compososition that had stood up for nearly a hundred years, and in effect, made a 'gap" in what would have been a continuous design, ans series. The "Zincolns" will "self-destruct, and in the process, damage a good many other coins in the process. What has happened to the originality, and beauty, that our coins used to display? I would hate to think I am getting old....er. Dick

Folks..it was an attn-seeking ploy to get you to read my pose and humor for, as Scooby said I need to (more than) brush up on my Numismatic skills...amazing what a 16-month hiatus from my coins (stored during our sale, move, rent, and home purchase saga) has done.
:O
Wait'll I'm back in full swing.....Mr Know-it-All...lucky you guys !!

Wooden nickel, eh? I have many of them. I dont bid on them; usually, when I'm sure about something, I'll put my wooden nickel where my mouth is. That usually gets others' attention.
