I know that new commemorative coins came out (meaning pennies, nickels) so will dansco be updating to provide 2 holes for those two coins? Or is the 7070 set done forever?

Thanks!

I believe the 7070 is considered by Dansco to be a 19th and 20th Century type set, so any new coin designs after Dec. 31, 2000 would not be included.

Many people think the 20th Century (and Second Millenium) ended in 1999, but it actually ended Dec. 31, 2000. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/20th_century

If you think about it if they did they would have to have 4 holes for the PENNIES for 2009 alone for the 4 different types. Possibly even more since some are Copper and some are the normal ones.
Of course they just might add all that to make more money.

I had the same question myself, so I emailed the Danscoalbumstore.com and they stated:

"No word yet I would guess it is not going to be available until August at the earliest."

"No official announcement.....not exactly sure when and what will be on the extra page but the page is in the works."

So your guess is as good as mine. I received the above reply in January. At this point they could create an entire new page with the numerous new types in the last 10 years.

once my album is filled up its done, I don't care how many more pages they make for it. Mine is a 19/20th century album and I don't need any other pages

I have to agree as well. I already have the new 21st Century "types" in their respective albums, so I see no need to have examples in the 7070 as well.
