Would appreciate it if someone who has owned a 7070 for a few years would tell me what it says on the cover. (edit) The new one's I have seen say "United States" on one line, "Type" on the next.

Did the 7070 exist before the year 2000?

Where did the idea that a 7070 is a 19th and 20th century type set come from? Did Dansco ever make that claim?

I bought my 7070 in 1993. So yes, it existed before the year 2000.

The title says the same thing as it does now. United States on one line, and Type on the second line (in a smaller font).

My page five only holds four coins: three bicentennials and an SBA. One of my goals is to get the replacement from Wizard (Which for some reason they call page 6, I guess the Gold page is supposed to be page 5?). However, I have been putting it off until I got a commemorative dollar to put in the page.

I have always heard that it was a 19th and 20th Century type set, at least until 2001 it had to be. I have never been able to find official confirmation, but I think it is just an excuse since no updates are available for 21st century type coins.

Thanks guys...Duke, certainly yours says the same thing as jbuck's.

The replacement page answers my other question, that I thought was only regarding the State Quarters that came out in 1999. Apparently the 7070 itself hasn't changed since sometime before 1976.

I think a 21st century page update page will come along. But that is another thread. :)

Actually, it had to change sometime around 1979 to add the SBA dollar.

The SBA is in the main part of the 7070? I thought it is on the update page you posted a link to.

Mine says United States and then Type.

It is from the late 1970s and ends with the 3 bicentennial coins on one page.

I see...the replacement page is (duh!) a replacement page for that last page of bicentennials you have. jbuck, no need to explain how/when the SBA was added.

Yes, as I said above, my 5th page has four coins, one being the SBA.

I will let this one slide because I know that the "Guess the Price" drama had your head swimming!
