after a horrible day of searching, only 4 common wheat's and 3 2010s I saw this pop out at me! dbl die? or MD? if it is MD, it would still be a keeper! looks like it was hit 3 times!

It looks like Machine Doubling. And your are right about the it's a keeper also

don't think its a double die as much as a double struck coin which I guess could be considered Machine Doubling but its dramatic Machine Doubling if it is

Although they may be incused, they are not mirror images as would happen if another cent was pressed against it. So I ask, what may have caused it?

Quite interesting...

If it clattered and hit three times, why would it be incuse? And the other images are rotated significantly, but no trace of that happening on the reverse.

Could a previously-struck coin have left behind plating residue on the obverse die? I'm thinking of copper plating peeling off the high points of the early coin, rotated slightly, matching low points on this coin.

As of right now, this seems like the only reasonable explanation to me.
