There looks like the extra columns in the last 3 bays that look very similar to the ones on coppercoins, but there is no match. The one in bay 9 is very light and might not show in these pics, but it's there. Might need chuckster 125 for this one! What do you think? Edited by Scooby Due 05/02/2010 01:47 am

I wish it wasn't so dirty. I didn't want to attempt to clean it up without asking here first. None of the markers or doubling match. I wonder if it could be version 007?

The only thing I use on Copper coins is mineral oil to remove grease that is stuck next to the devices. I use a very, very over used tooth brush to loosen it from the devices. (Use the mother-in-law's after she has left.) LOL I call it a bath, not a cleaning. Do not rub as it will move sand/grit and scratch your coin. But it works for me. I NEVER use it on BU/Proof coins. Even the softest brush will mar the appearance. https://www.coincommunity.com/forum...ALF_BATH.jpghttps://www.coincommunity.com/forum...ore_Cent.jpg

Yes, I'm still hung up on this one. As I look at this a little more, the statue doesn't quie look right, especially (his) left arm, viewers right. Any input?

Scooby Due: First- CONGRATS! Great Find!! It's definitely a DDR! Can you take some pictures of the Obverse by the Y of Liberty? and to the left of the memorial on the Reverse? On my 1994P 1DR-006 EDS (Coppercoins) (Coneca EDS 1994P 1DR-003)- you can clearly see the die scratch from Lincoln's neck going over the top of the Y on the Obverse, plus also on the reverse there is a series of die dots to the left side of the memorial. In looking closer at your coin/versus mine- the extra columns look different in bay's 10 & 11. Your extra columns are more straight up & down while mine are more on an angle. You might have an MDS of my 006/003 or you could have a new find ( Coppercoins 007/ Coneca 004- that would be great also!. If nothing matches, I would suggest sending pics to Dr. Wiles (Coneca) Variety Vista and also to Mr Piazza (coppercoins) for their expert review etc. Good Luck and Congrats again!

I compared it to all of the DDR's at coppercoins. They all have doubling where mine does not. My coin only has the doubling in the last 3 bays. I looked for the scratches and the die dots that you mentioned and they are not there.

Wexler List three extra columns. The one everyone wants and two others that look similar. WDDR-007 Weaker Line on 10th bay WDDR-008 Stronger line on 10th bay. Priced alike for either.

As a suggestion, since nothing matches, I would E. mail Mr Wexler or Mr Wiles with lots of pics of the coin etc and ask for their expert opinion and see if either one may request to examine your coin in hand for a correct attribution, if there are no matches to dies they are both aware of.
Good Luck!

Thanks for the feed back - I'll do that.
When you send in a coin this dirty, will they try to clean/improve (for lack of a better word) for you? I'm afraid to attempt anything myself.

UPDATE: Good news/bad news. It is in fact a DDR! It has been assigned 1994-WDDR-010. The bad news is that it had just been reported by someone else before I got it in. It can still be found on their new listings page at https://www.doubleddie.com about halfway down the page. But, I'll take it!
