I would agree, but this seller is generally pretty reputable IMO so I doubt they are doing it purposefully.
Generally they have accurate grades, no nonsense 'GEM BU UNC' stuff on slider coins, nice descriptions etc. so I would find it improbable that they are just going to purposefully push a fake on people out of nowhere, especially when its only what, a $300 coin at most?

To All of You: You guys do more harm than good here: This is MY coin and it IS Genuine (sent to ANACS-broken out by the collector). If any of you have ANY idea what the style of Hubbing and Striking were between 1916-21 and 1923+, you would know that it would be Impossible for this date to be anything other than 1916-21. That said, this date configuration is Unique to 1921-D. Do your homework. Mark Twain said something like: 'Some people are thought to be (idiots), until they open their mouths and all doubt is removed'

Quote: This is MY coin and it IS Genuine How can you be so sure? And why didn't you send it back to PCGS? You know what? I think that's just a story! Quote: (idiots) Watch your tongue! I've been buying & selling coins for over 40 years-can anyone here match that? I'm only on here because of a couple of 'Vigilante Bids' on that dime, which are being investigated. How can anyone sit here and call that coin altered, when the plain fact is that NO OTHER Mercury dime has that date configuration? Nevermind that a different hub was used...
