Ok, a little different type of contest (hopefully the first of many). I want to get some well deserved coins to some of our most deserving members of our Coin Community Forum, (the CCF). How do I do that? I have a contest to get a coin to a deserving collector! So, This contest will be to guess what coin I have in my collection that I have chosen to be the focus of this contest. BUT,The winner DOES NOT and CAN NOT win this coin. The winner gets to pick his/her choice of the most deserving (in his/her mind) CCF member to get the winning coin, an 1898 Morgan dollar. (Note; This is NOT the coin this contest is looking for. Don't waste your guess on this coin.) Prize: 1898 Morgan
Now what do you have to do to win, and by winning, get to choose your worthy CCF collector? You have to guess what year, denomination, mint mark (if any for the type), and country/nationality/colony/municipality/duchy/rogue-state the coin came from.Rules: 1. You must have a minimum of 50 posts on this illustrious Coin Collecting Forum (CCF) to win. 2. Your choice of budding CCF member to whom you wish bestow the 1898 Morgan, must also have a minimum of 50 posts on this illustrious Forum. (i.e., your choice MUST be another CCF member.) 3. You may guess only once per day. (So make it count!) 4. Your guess must include all the listed items above to count as a valid guess. (C'mon, don't make me be the referee!) 5. Lobbying/requests/begging by CCF members who feel they are deserving of these coins is allowed in this thread. PLEASE don't be obnoxious about it or I will ask to have your participation in this contest terminated. However, righteous justification is highly encouraged. Humor always sways people too! (I would also ask that you NOT PM anyone. If you want it, tell us all in this thread why you deserve it!). 6. I also have to concur that the winner's choice of coin recipient is a valid and proper choice. Why? It is my contest, my coin and my desire the coin go to the right type of collector. (Again, don't make me be the referee. Choose wisely!) This is for a deserving, budding collector! We want to encourage our hobby with newer collectors! 7. I will give hints periodically. 8. You may ask questions as much as you wish. I will answer as much as I wish. Good Luck and Happy Guessing!Added: Since I love to look at pictures of coins, I'll try to post a picture of the guessed coin (if I have one...). Of course, if you post one, I won't have to... Oops, Left out USA! Sweet guess! And you are correct, the USA should be added. But your coin guess is NOT correct, I'm sorry.NOTE to all:
Gforce, Cownas22, and tumbleweedtrumpet's guesses may have been disallowed/rejected for not having all the required information...Additional note:
Corrections/additions are allowed and count for the one 24 hour guess as long as it is during the same 24 hour period. (Are you all making me be a referee? Hmmm...)
