I guess you can find rings on the beach! My cheapie Prizm II had never found any jewelry until this week at Zuma Beach in So. Cal. This ring appears to be silver but is pretty dark. Silver tarnish remover has only slightly lightened the color. There is a hallmark of some kind that appears to read "825". If it said 925 I'd assume the metal was Sterling silver, but what would be indicated by 825? Does anyone recognize this mark?

I also found this pretty thing. Looks like it hadn't been lost for long; the sterling is still bright and the opal looks perfect. I'm not complaining!

825 also denotes sterling silver.Just a different blend, probably English. It could also be 625 because the hallmarks are difficult to distinguish after wear.Nice finds. The Opal is worth a few bucks.

Surfs up!

My two wave rings, (can't remember when I found them) both have
.925

the "." is on a position where I can see it could make the 9 look like a 8. I am not saying that is what yours is .. just a suggestion.

Mine I can see very well with the 10X glass. Better than I can get a picture of.
