I'm way bad with impulse buying! Seemed like a good idea at the time. Also, how do you think they grade?

You paid very high retail. They both could have been snagged for less, but they still have nice eye appeal.

I agree with wheatguy. That's a bit high but they both look good and if you plan on keeping them for a long period of time you probably did OK.

I figured I probably might be overpaying a little, but I was overcome with the urge to plug a couple of holes!
In reality, I probably got them for a few bucks less than $20. I bought several other items that he had a total price of $65 on that I got all for $50.

Looks like you did fine. The '09-VDB is a $15 coin in AU and yours is very close to AU. The '19-S is a $5 coin in EF.

Although I am admittedly "LearningAboutCoins," IMO it is sometimes worth paying a couple extra bucks to fill some holes with a quality coin.

You paid a bit too much. I know the urge gets to one when one is overwhelmed by coins. Get a greysheet. Patience my friend Scooby Due, most U.S. coins can be gotten easily, including key dates. Good lookin' 09-VDB though.

$20 isn't bad, the 1909 VDB looks about AU and the 1919-S a nice example, close to AU too.
