Unless that date is very rare in 64 because of the strike,I don't get it either. How many has PCGS accredited at 64?

My coin dealer has a PCGS MS-64 for $70.00. I don't get where people think their slabbed coins are worth over 10x their actual value even with a slight premium for slabbing by one of the 3 TPG's.

Maybe he's just testing the "make offer" waters?

Yeah, you're missing the fact that the guy's a nut and he's just baiting the hook and throwing out the line to see if a bigger nut will come along and bite on it. If so, FISH ON!!

You can see a fair amount of that on ebay.

FWIW, I got a 85O in group of 10 different dates/mm's all NGC 64 with a storage box a few years aqo for $700.

I wonder if it was a type-o and he meant to apply a BIN price of $80.00. Who knows?

JimR; I seriously doubt it. He paid a BIN fee relative to the BIN price.

But he probably hasn't seen or paid the bill for the fee yet and doesn't realize the error. BIN fee for over $200 is only a quarter anyway so he probably didn't pay any attention to it. (Reserve price fee for an auction would be noticeable, but not for a bin.)

Is this right? I understood mated pairs to be different than this. Or am I mistaken?
