I have had a nice Whitman album for my Presidential dollars for several years now, and this is what I intended to put my "Proofs" into. It's not a P&D album.....just Proofs....so a "date set".
But on "Wizardcoinsupply.com" where I now buy my Dansco's.....I can't find a "slipcase" for this Whitman.
Since I'll be putting Proof coins into this......I really wanted the slipcase for extra protection (and it will be kept at home)

Anybody know if Whitman even has slipcases ? ....

I checked out their website...no slip covers. All my Whitmans, some as old as 50 years, have no slip covers.

Would anybody shoot me, If I found a Dansco slip cover for my Whitman album ? ....
I wonder if any would even work, size wise ? ....

The thing is, these will be Proof coins, I live in a VERY high humidity area (very often 98% humidity here).....and I have to keep this album at home. So, I want maximum protection for them.
I will wrap them in foil maybe too....dunno......But I really wanted a slip cover for this evolving album ! .....

I don't want to spend any more money in the "Presidential Dollar Realm" than I have to (ie buying a Dansco album)......so I'm sticking with this Whitman....and it IS nice -- sans the slip cover though !

A tad bit unsightly... but a large Ziploc bag, with some desiccant packs inside, will out perform a slipcover, just looks weird on the shelf!

The Whitman and Dansco albums are different dimension.

I believe the Dansco is slightly bigger, so using the Dansco slipcase for a Whitman album would not be effective.

I agree, the Ziploc + desiccant would be your best solution.

Ahhh well.....that figures !

I remember when I was a kid......my buddy's Dad had put a Chevy motor in a Ford pick-up truck...and it was quite the humorous thing, since he was such a "Chevy guy"....a lot of his friends would notice the green Ford truck and try to say something....but then he could always come back and say...."Yeah, but it's got a Chevy motor, and that's why it runs so good !) .....

So, I kind of likened my "Dansco Slip case" covering a "Whitman album" in much the same way.....but, I guess they don't fit so.....
