Found this 67 JFK roll searching earlier today.

Is this a legit double profile by the nose, lips and under the chin, plus the lower part of the eye?

*I know that's MD on the D in GOD.

Looks like Machine Doubling to me. Flat looking doubling. Probably from die movement during the striking of this coin.

coop,

I think your right - it's more than likely MD.

There isn't anything matching up at the Coneca site.

I have a lot of the Kennedys with MD'd profile; none of them are as radical as this one.

It's quite possible that's an actual doubled profile.

Amongst many aspects of the coin, I do not think that profile on the chin and under the jaw is simple MD.

Since I have lots of wooden nickels, I'm betting one of them that that's a legit doubled profile.

nice coin.

It's clearly a case of Machine Doubling.

Machine can vary from strike to strike. Here is an example found in OBW rolls:
1967-JFK-Half--Double-Profile/-Lower-Eye?
The more die movement, the more the coin is damaged during the strike.
