That sure is a lot of envelopes, Jim, I will try to explain to you exactly what I meant in my previous posts, ( I have a problem sometimes explaining myself ).

The envelopes you are showing on the e-bay sight are from the small boxes you also see in the pictures, they were sent in large amounts, in those boxes, hence, no address on the envelopes.

I am referring to the old days when you as a consumer would write the you S Mint and order a proof set, they would then address one of those envelopes you see in the auction to the person who ordered the set and place a proof set in the envelope, seal the envelope and mail it to that person!!

The envelopes you see in the picture you refer to those envelopes were not sealed by the mint.

You can plainly see the ebay auction you point out ALL of the envelopes were not addressed, but placed in the boxes you see and the boxes you see were addressed.....Mike...

Mike; thanks. I wish I had a proof set from then that had our name and address on it...not kidding...it is something my coin collection is missing.

That auction makes me salivate....makes me want to utter profanities, too.

I want every single envelope in that auction.

I would also not mind having some of them, but I would venture a guess there are MANY, MANY, duplicates and judging from the way they look, handled wise, I wonder about the condition of most?

I will try to get you some pictures of mint sets and proof sets, I purchased with peoples addresses on them!!
