Hi Everyone, I found a coin from a box I'm searching through that looks like in may be an error. I linked 2 pictures but I can't seem to capture the error well in the pictures. The coin has bubbles all over the obverse, almost looks like skin after a bad burn. In the pictures you can see 2 obvious bubbles next to the nose and under the "S", but there are smaller bubbles all over. When holding the coin, you can notice these bubbles right away.
My questions are, is this an error? Is there a name for this sort of thing? Is it worth hanging onto?

Thanks everyone

It is bad plating...it isn't an error. Might be worth holding onto if you think it is interesting. Won't cost you anything to do so. :)

Thanks Steve, just so I know, an issue with a die plate is not considered an error?

The plating problem is not on the die, it is on the planchet/coin itself. You'll see it a lot on the zinc cents in the years right after they started this metal composition in mid-1982.
