It's probably a mint roll but the end coins have been roughly handled. It is very unlikely that anyone has printed mint rolls to re-roll them with.

As to whether to open it, it depends on whether you want to collect complete rolls or not. Personally, I'd rather just keep the nice coins and spend (or cash in) the rest. You'll find that the faces of the Presidents seem to take a beating during the mint process. If I find 5 to 7 "keepers" in a roll I feel fortunate, and even at that, I think the best I've found have been MS-64's. I've traded some of my nice extras with other folks to get other Presidents I don't have.

Zachary Taylor-D is the lowest mintage variety, as yet.

The lowest overall (P&D combined) mintage President as yet is
Millard Fillmore.

Personally, I'd save the roll. They bring a slight premium over face. Also, something else to consider....it seems most collectors hate the pres dollar series. I'm wondering if enough rolls are being put up for the future. Even with such large mintages, rolls may be slightly scarce someday because they seem to be only lightly collected. Just a wild guess on my part.

There may be more interest in the Presidential dollar series around
the year 2013, when we start to get to the 20th Century Presidents.
One of my personal favorite past Presidents, Theodore Roosevelt, has
never been featured on a U.S. Mint coin! If anyone should have
been on a Commemorative coin by now, it would be him; but at least the
2013 Theodore Roosevelt Dollar finally gives him a tribute in coinage!

The Lincoln Presidential dollar (business strike issues this November)
should have some unique collector interest in its own right, due to
collector's interest in Lincoln himself, and Lincoln Cents. People who
would not want any other Presidential dollar may want one of those!

The Lincoln Commemorative Silver Dollar was a quick sellout last year,
and the Lincoln Coin & Chronicles Set continues to fetch more than
double its issue price...

I have to agree.

It is also important to note that these coins do not need to be in circulation long before they start looking a little rough. High-grade Presidential dollars may have a significant premium one day, especially for roll collectors.

I would caution to "not" go too "roll crazy" just betting on "long shot theoretics" and wrapping up too much money in Presidential Dollar Rolls though.
Keeping the occasional "favorite" roll, or seeking out one or two low mintage rolls or whatever is fine throughout the entire run of this series...Heck ! Almost everybody will do something like that !....

The annual Presidential dollar Proof Set of these is affordable, if you haven't thought of those. (the yearly Proof Set costs "less" than one whole roll of which you'd have to buy FOUR TIMES A YEAR !)
