i have read a bit on here about the process in which coins are recycled back into circulation in regards to ordering boxes of halves and such.

i guess my question would be, I've been dumping my halves at the same branch of bank, not the same bank; so does that mean I will get them back when I order more boxes?

ive read some posts saying that I might. I'm not sure how to ensure I dont get my own dumps. and I'm not sure if its the same with dimes, quarters, pennies, etc..

anyone know if you when you dump your coins in the same city or different branch/same bank, will you get your same coins? do they go back to a central recycling center? how far away to dump would make any if at all difference?

I did a search on Brinks and it seems like they are regional. I only found like 3 or 4 in FL and they are spaced out pretty good. I am going to get in to the box of halves game pretty soon. But, I would think they get coins from a big a radius and your chances of getting random coins would be pretty good.

But, I'm new at the box hunting game and could be wrong.

You could be, when your bank gets a 500$ increment they send it out with their change carrier. They then package it and roll it into boxes (the ones you buy), for a fee for the bank. (this is why non member banks dont like to order for you), it costs them money for each box you order. Once it gets to the change carrier, what they do with it is their poicy. I have heard from a BRINKS carrier that they use the first in first out policy. I dont know if other carrier's "rotate" stock of coins once their boxed. Even if you called I dont know if they would tell you that, if you could corner a driver they might know. This is what I learned from my banker.

I'd be very careful cornering an armored car driver. Approaching armored car employees while they are picking up or delivering money is probably not a real good idea.

I saw a armored car driver and wanted to ask if they had some new coin. From 10-20 yards away I called out, "Sir" then asked my question once I got his attention. He was friendly and answered my question. Don't know if that is his nature or because I didn't approach him.

There are a lot of TD Bank branches in NJ and I have a feeling the stuff goes out and comes right back to the same area. I've come across the same coins with markings more than once.

I always marked the rolls with odd color, once I went through.
I will recognize if I get them back.
