Hello people. There's some good news to report today.

Last last February I purchased an American Silver Eagle coin from a member. When the envelope arrived it was torn and the coin was missing. Unfortunately it wasn't in a padded envelope so when the envelope went through the machine it ripped open. I checked with the member to see what post office he mailed it from. I phoned them, then also the sorting office. They informed me to go to my local post office and will out a claim form.

All items with value of $25 or over that fall out of an envelope they send to the Mail Recovery Center in Atlanta, and will do a search. I filled out a form describing what I lost. Since this was done over a month ago I wrote off the coin as being lost. Lo and behold the coin arrived today from Atlanta. Couldn't believe it as I assumed it was gone forever.

Thanks United States Postal Service!

Ken
