Update: Changed title. I purchased this one to replace my "cleaned corroded" 1920, and the eye appeal on this one blows me away. I was concerned it might have been artificially toned, but now that it's in hand, I believe it to be natural. There is also some remaining luster beneath the toning. Nice VF-35. I personally don't usually like circulated coins with a lot of toning, but that one is definitely an exception.

Thanks guys. I don't often see natural toning on circ coins. This one makes sense though, as there is still luster underneath the rainbow toning. In addition to my 1919, this is my second VF slq with luster. These two coins really stand out now in my album as far as the surfaces are concerned, even though they don't have exceptional details. Maybe I will try to upgrade my slq set to coins with this kind of look....that would be a real challenge.

I love that SLQ. The toning looks natural to me. If this coin was on ebay and I missed it I am going to have to open that can of "terror" on myself.

LOL @ Jim.
I don't remember seeing it on the bay either. Its darn nice too. But - I have only been focusing on certain years/mm's while searching the Bay over the past week or so.
Johnny - I say go for a toned set! Talk about a CHALLENGE, 16, 21, 23s, 27s.....etc, naturally toned.

Thanks guys. It was a BIN for $28. Quote: Talk about a CHALLENGE, 16, 21, 23s, 27s.....etc, naturally toned. Sigh, now I regret not going for that 16 in the other thread even more. It would have been perfect for a colored set. Maybe it will come up for auction again someday.

Moe - that is a fantastic looking 1920D. 20D is one of the dates I've been hunting down, having trouble finding in good shape. So many that I do find have been improperly cleaned or only the 0 in the date is visible.
That is certainly a nice EF45 coin. Very hard to find for that year.

Wow, that looks like it might just make XF-40; though it will downgrade since it will require a cleaning. I just drooled all over it. Ok, this thread has officially changed to the SLQ toner thread. Post all your SLQ toners!
