I just thought after going Crazy to get a complete roll set of the State Quarters and the bags of the you S Territories quarters, 11-years worth, the atmosphere, at the Mint would tend to ease up.

I posted this topic because now, at the beginning of the newest series of the National Parks Series Quarters, who would actually be collecting these.

I first thought when I heard of the idea and release that the you S Mint made a big score with the " State Quarter Program" and now will not let the "cash cow" run even close to dry, I really feel this is very over the top and they need to concentrate on the series they started oh say in 1986 and let things cool down and catch up, per say.

I admit I like the large 5ounce silver bullion gigantor ( remember that cartoon ) piece and it has caught my eye, but to know that for another 10-years or more ( if you collect these) you will be looking for a long time and now that banks no longer have the series in rolls( like the State Quarters ) it will be even more difficult to collect this series.

My question to ALL, I am trying to find out just from the members here, how many would be committing to collecting the entire series!!!

I personally am NOT, I have a box of bank ( vendor ) wrapped rolls that weighs well over 75+ pounds of the 1st series, with the 1st 6-7 Presidential dollar rolls, together the cost alone is well over $ 1300.00 face value and really do not think it will bring the "premium" I originally thought it would, so, please share with me the opinions out there, while the series is new and most can start to collect from the beginning, Thanks for your replies, Mike.....

I've used (borrowed) this phrase before.......it is my nature. So, my answer would have to be yes.
But, I will NOT be getting "bank rolls" of them throughout the 11 year run (way to expensive ! As I've posted in another thread about all of this)
I will just, most likely, continue to get the Silver Proof Sets, the Proof Sets, and the Uncirculated Sets.
As far as adding the Business Strikes to this collection, I will make the most valiant effort to collect them or trade for them, that I possibly can.....but I'm not going to go through the crazy expense to do it. Nor will I try to figure out "schemes" to "pay myself back".

Will do a P & D from Circ... and will have proofs and silver proofs from the sets I will buy. So I guess I'm collecting the whole thing.

I will be doing the same thing as Ianmprice. P&D from circulation and proofs from the annual sets.

I will probably not commit to an album for them until the series is done. It has been speculated by forum members (there is not any real evidence) that they could end the series before it is scheduled to end.

That rule has been in place for years......as long as I've been a member. One must have 50 "quality" posts before one can engage in Trading, buying, selling, of any kind......all that good stuff !
