A recent acquisition, from a trusted source.

How do you think this one will grade?

Part of me wants to say there's got to be a rub on there, but the fields are so hit free...

MS65BN. Or better. Nice coin!

I'll go 65 and maybe better, too. Steve, I see glare, not rub. Now to the big question...MS65, or PR65? I'm asking that solely on the look of that surface, nothing more. Are those rims not "square" enough, the strike not "distinct" enough? I don't know...

Nah, it's a Business Strike. The rims are too round, and IMO the detail of the head isn't brought out enough.

This is, unfortunately for me, proof that I've been assimilated into the Lincoln Lovers Club. I've been holding it off for a couple of years, and now I'm lost.

Dave for the longest time I too had no interest in LWC's. They were the coins I already had some of from when I was young and could still find in circulation from time to time.

However , and in large part to the forum I started to realize there is a lot of character in these Lincoln coins. So welcome to the Lincoln Lovers Club.

Great pics as usual and I will go with the consensus grade of MS65BN

This year had a fairly good strike. I see far too much wear on the the letters so it's hard for me to consider this coin in MS anymore.

The "roundness" of the letters in LIBERTY, ONE CENT, and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA are not comparable to the 09s I've seen in MS.

shoot me now.

Those are great pics SuperDave! Those fields look exceptionally mark free to me! I have a quite a few Lincolns that are graded by either PCGS or NGC as MS65 and they have more hits than this coin. What are those dark spots between Lincoln's shoulder and the rim at about 7:00?

I think I'll break from the pack and go with MS66BN.
