That looks fine, shows details well, scratches, dings, die defects all very visible, and the focus looks good also.

Thanks guysWhen I get daylight bulbs I should be able to improve depth.Still working on coppers.Mostly B and RB so I'm sure I need better lightning.Great ideas on forum

Those pix look even better. Copper is a tough one. Also 1808 East India Trading company coin is so cool. I imagine if a coin like that could talk it would tell tales of exotic markets and adventures on the high seas.

Are your spots incandescent? Have you tried LED or halon lights?

The spots are incandescent, unfortunately they are r14 bases, so limited bulb choices. I have just received two goose neck lamps that take standard base bulbs, I am working with fluorescents right now, (these are much larger) will be experimenting with others soon.

Advantage of the Canon is a remote view screen. I tried tethering to the laptop but the auto focus wouldn't work, need to go back through instructions. Results vary.
