This 100 baht banknote has been issued to double celebrate the 60th wedding anniversary of the king and queen (28th April 1950) of Thailand and the coronation of the king that took place one week later on 5th May 1950. Although he acceded to the throne on 9th June 1946 the coronation did not take place until nearly 4 years later. The obverse is no different from the standard 100 baht note in current circulation.

Hi Vic,
Does this make three (the number of unique reverse designs) paired with this face?

I have requested a few of these new notes, but had also heard of a new 20 baht note with a picture of a bridge on it. Is there anything to that story, or is it merely rumor?

Indeed you're right zeewool. The first one is the original issue with the same obverse (1 signature variety only). The second one is the most common (with five signature varieties). The commemorative in the original posting has the same signature as the last variety of the 'common' reverses.

As for a new 20 baht note, I've not heard anything but check out this link.

Thanks very much Vic, that answers my questions very well and makes far more sense than what I had previously heard.
