I have been trying to find the value of this coin my mom has.

I don't know much about coins especially really old ones, so any info would be great.

Well, if that isn't your specific coin, we can't really give an accurate value to it, since value is determined by several other factors (mintmark, condition, centring, strike, etc) and not just which type of coin it is. We'd really need to see pics of your actual coin.

There's a new catalogue from Sear covering the time period this coin was issued, that's due out soon ("Spring 2010" is the promised release date) - but the most recent price list for this coin that's actually available now dates from 1988; the best we could tell you is what such coins have recently sold for at auction or ebay.

The Wildwinds page for Licinius I might be of help to you.

to the community.

If you can post a picture of your coin. As Sap pointed out there are several conditions to determine the value and a picture will help us to do that.
